More amazing stuff you’ll know about her:
Do you have any amazing stories about your fans? Any favorite fan stories?
I had a fan once asked me to send them an autograph! It was crazy but in a good way. I had never had anyone ask me that before so it was surreal. I love getting emails through from fans who tell me that my Book One Night With The Prince has helped them with their depression, and that hit home for me since I struggled with that growing up. Of course, I think getting any emails from fans are amazing lol.
What’s your favorite thing about being a writer?
That I have an outlet for my imagination. Growing up, I would spend hours everyday making up whole worlds and characters. I always thought that made me an oddball in a playground full of normal lol
Who is your favorite character that you wrote?
That’s a tough one, but if I had chosen right now, I would pick Cali Spencer from Intertwined my newest book. I love her because she’s so much stronger than she thinks and is beginning to discover, she also doesn’t know how to give up. I strive to adopt an attitude like her.
When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I had always loved to write! In class, if we got a writing prompt and was told by the teacher to go wild, I swear you could see smoke coming from my pencil, I was writing so fast. But I didn’t put two and two together that writing is what I really wanted to do until I read Nothing Left To Lose by Kirsty Mosely. After reading that book online, it inspired me to try my hand at writing an actual book.
Do you have any fun facts about your book?
Intertwined is based on a dream I had! I dreamed of the scenario and woke up thinking “I need to write this down!”.
Does writing energize or exhaust you?
A little of both. I have times where I am writing about an exciting part in the book and it seems I can’t type fast enough, and other times I feel like I am exhausted when trying to connect one chapter to the next.
What is your favorite quote?
“She was the storm, not the kind you run from, the kind you chase.”- R.H. Sin
Who do you say has inspired you the most?
It’s not a single person really, it’s a multitude of different authors. Like Kirsty Mosely, R.LMattewson, Kelly Oram, and Mariana Zapata. They all have played key roles in my inspiration. I know I must have a ton more, but they stand out. Their writing as inspired me to always be better.
What advice do you have for aspiring authors out there?
Never give up. I stopped writing for a good 2-3 years because of major drama in my family that impacted my life in a big way. I let that suck the love of writing right out of me.
What’s your favorite part of your own book?
That’s easy lol, my favorite part has to be the end that leads off for book two. I can’t give anything away since it would ruin the whole book, but I had looked forward to writing that part since I started writing Intertwined
Do you have a writing routine? If yes, what is it?
I plug in my music and zone out everything and everyone. If I don’t I get distracted easily and a chapter that would normally take a few hours to write will take a full day.
Who is your favorite author and why?
My favorite is a tie between R.L.Matthewson and Mariana Zapata. I love the humor of R.L.Matthewson, but I love love the build-up of the connections between Mariana Zapata’s characters.
What are you writing now?
Book 2 to Intertwined: Severed. A werewolf novel called Wild Soul, and a witch novel called An Impossible Choice that is 2 parts humor, 1 part magic 😉
It’s a wrap!
