Before she received this wonderful opportunity, Kristel didn’t even once think about becoming a professional author. She just liked writing and wanted to do it. Living in a small country like Estonia, her hopes of ever reaching the audience she wanted to were small.

Do you have any amazing stories about your fans? Any favorite fan stories?
This year (2017) Estonia’s Wattpadders held their first gathering. About two months before the event, I received a message from a fan, who said they were going to the event in hopes of seeing me and getting me to sign their copy of my published book “Purr, Kitten”. This knowledge warmed my heart for weeks.
And another time, a classmate of mine found out I was an author on Wattpad. She joked around about how her sister was obsessed with the website and thus might know me. I went along with it and gave her my username, so she could pass it on to her sister. Turns out her sister was a fan of mine and we spoke for a while on Facebook about the odd coincidence.
What’s your favorite thing about being a writer?
My favorite thing about being a writer is the uncontrollable urge to dive into a world no one but me knows and just exist in it with figments of my own imaginations – may they be hot werewolves, demons or humans.
Who is your favorite character that you wrote?
I love all my babies, I do. But I have a different sort of affection for Lucifer. He is the Devil, of course, and he exists in a series of mine on Radish Fiction App. His sense of humor gets me chuckling every time before I realize technically I am him. Then I just feel bad-ass.
When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I’ve been writing most of my life, mostly as a hobby. And technically I didn’t realize I could continue to be a writer for the rest of my life before BLVNP offered me a publishing contract.
Do you have any fun facts about your book?
I have plenty. For example, a book of mine (“The Curse of Queen Astarte” on Radish Fiction) has a hallway in it, where the numbers on the doors are illogically numbered. It is the hallway of birthdays, important birthdays of my close friends and family members that I have entered into a book as a hidden praise and dedication.
Also, there’s a hidden book out there somewhere in the web about my own life, that I hid and locked away because my friends knew my Wattpad, but I had been brutally honest in the book.
Does writing energize or exhaust you?
If I can write, it energizes me and I will be glued to my pen or laptop. If I am experiencing a block in the middle of my journey then just trying to get a sentence down drains the energy out of me.
What is your favorite quote?

Who do you say has inspired you the most?
I am mostly inspired by my friends. Since I grow with them, I can see their characters changing and growing – exactly what my characters are supposed to be doing.
What advice do you have for aspiring authors out there?
Read a lot, write a lot. Not just for the words, but for the characters. When you can imagine the book you’re reading written, then you can write.
What’s your favorite part of your own book?
I have a love-hate relationship with every ending. The same with my own book.
Do you have a writing routine? If yes, what is it?
I am pretty unorganized. I try to create a routine for myself every once in a while, but my life if based on spontaneous decisions and adventures. And I don’t have the heart to give up an adventure for a routine.

What are you writing now?
My focus right now is on my NaNoWriMo book “Notions of a Dreaming Nation” that is slowly being uploaded to Wattpad.
What inspires you to write?
I am inspired by the whisper of trees when I walk in the forest, the scorching touch of the sun, the words of a stranger and the facial expressions of a friend. I draw inspiration from the everyday things. I could stare at a chair for inspiration, but then again I might not gain anything from the truly inspirational events.
