Do you have any amazing stories about your fans? Any favorite fan stories?

The fan that created the cover for Silent Luna had actually previously translated it into French on WattPad! I have known her for probably over a year now and we have exchanged messages off and on. I didn’t know which covers she submitted and we have been talking since I announced Silent Luna was going to be published and we have actually become friends online. It’s actually pretty cool because she lives in Belgium and I live in the United States so it’s cool to know that we would have never crossed paths if it wasn’t for WattPad.

What’s your favorite thing about being a writer?

The ability to explore the lives of the characters. Honestly, sometimes I plan how I want the story to go and I think I have a set timeline and then when it comes to actually writing the book I get to certain parts and I’m like “This character would never do this!” and it actually changes major parts of the book. Once I start writing the characters are like real people to me and it’s interesting to create their lives as they unfold and the story is being told.

Who is your favorite character that you wrote?

Personally, I like James. He is so sweet and caring. It takes him some time but he begins to understand Grace and how she is and I think it is awesome to watch their relationship unfold.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I have read books my entire life and I always thought it would be interesting to write but I never had any drive to try. When I found Wattpad it was the perfect opportunity to write and I was completely anonymous for about three years so it was interesting to just be able to write whatever I wanted and if it turned out horrible then no one would really know and I could write as much as I wanted. It was also interesting to see the feedback and the comments and that made me want to improve and keep writing.

Do you have any fun facts about your book?

Silent Luna was actually not to supposed to end the way it did but about half way through I changed the entire second half. Going back to my previous answer, it became more of a “I don’t think the characters would react like this” and changing one thing changed another until the entire second half was different.

Does writing energize or exhaust you?

It does a little of both. In the very beginning when I am planning out the general plot and events, it is a little exhausting because I could literally do whatever but I like to think about the characters and their personalities and what they would do. Once I have a general idea and I start writing I get really excited and have the energy to write for hours.

What is your favorite quote?

To define is to limit. It is in the book The Picture of Dorian Grey and it has always stuck with me.

Who do you say has inspired you the most?

My mother. It may sound corny but she has worked really hard in her life and I aspire to be as successful as she is.

What advice do you have for aspiring authors out there?

Never stop writing. It doesn’t matter where or how, even if it’s just your daily journal, but always be writing something. The only way to get better is to practice and the more you do that the better your writing will be.

What’s your favorite part of your own book?

I like the scene when she is finally back at home and they are having the campfire. I just think it is really nice after everything that she is doing something so normal and something I do at home with my friends and family and she appreciates it so much.

Do you have a writing routine? If yes, what is it?

I usually write really late at night. I don’t know why but I am always in bed on my laptop or iPad and that’s when I usually write the most.

Who is your favorite author and why?

Jodi Picoult. She isn’t the genre I write in but the sophistication yet simplicity of her writing style is very interesting. I really never know where her books are going to go but they are about every day people that is so relatable.

What are you writing now?

I am working on finishing Powerful and I am planning out the sequel to Silent Luna.

What inspires you to write?

When I get the messages and comments from people on WattPad and online who enjoy reading what I write. Their feedback makes me want to continue writing all the time.

And that’s it!
